Tall Zhejiang Kitchen Cabinet with Fretwork on Front & Sides

This antique Zhejiang kitchen cabinet has very interesting lattice patterns. Across the top row is the cracked ice lattice pattern, a design that is used in traditional decorative Chinese windows. The second row of the latticework is the highlight, they actually form the double happiness Chinese character 囍, implying that this could have been part of the dowry for a newly wed couple. The bottom two rows feature more traditional patterns.
