A Pair of Square Stools with Rattan Top

A pair of Elm square stools from Zhejiang province. This has a beautiful original patina, which we had kept and finished with a clear matte lacquer. The original woven mat tops were damaged and hence we replaced them with a new rattan top. This rattan top has a wooden base so these can also be used as side tables. The small carving around the sides is the Buddha’s Hand citron, which represents good luck.
