A slim round-leg Ming-style console made in Jichimu

A modern interpretation of a Ming-style console table, made in Jichimu, a hardwood commonly known as “Chickenwing” wood (also called “Pheasant” wood). The table has round legs and rounded edges, with horizontal stretchers that wrap around the legs at the corners. Originally a painter’s table design, this has been streamlined and made narrower to become a slim console table, perfect for the modern living room, narrow walkways and behind the sofa.
